The 4th CFC Singapore National Men’s Conference 2023 is entitled Rescue and Redeem. This is an echo Conference of Servants of the Lord International Conference this year. The conference started by recalling the three previous Men’s Conferences, namely ABBA Father followed by A Father’s Promise, and the third was Be The Light.

As we remember the past 2 years of our seeming deathbed, we regain the power to go on treading the light of faith.

Rescue and Redeem Conference kicked off with Session 1 with Rising Up from Powerlessness. We may face anything from a speed bump to a hurdle to get over. But there are times when we stare at what feels like a wall, maybe a huge wall, and wonder how we will get through it. We are to rise up from our faith’s “deathbed,” pick up our burdens and go on with our lives. Our lives of faithfulness can transform others through our actions.

In Session 2, Walking In God’s Master Plan As we leave a tumultuous era of pandemic and enter into still an unknown 2023, it is helpful to remember that God has a plan for our lives, and this verse is just such a reminder. In Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know well the plans I have for you, … plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future (full) of hope.”

Session 3, Strengthening Our Conviction. Our daily battles: The struggles continue because the devil is never relentless in his hatred toward the Lord. So even if we are already “with” the Lord, we experience sufferings and tribulations which the devil uses to weaken us and stain our relations with God. Walking in faith is walking against the world. It is the Lord’s direction as against the world’s ways.

The last session, Session 4, is Setting Us Free. Since we are in the world, that which is being dominated by the evil one, God equips us against the evil one. The power comes, of course, from the Holy Spirit, which enables us to stand our ground and walk in faith. We need to declare our response: I Want to Break Free! The promise of God’s protection through His words. My God, my rock of refuge! My shield, my saving horn,[a] my stronghold, my refuge, my savior, from violence, you keep me safe. Our freedom through His overwhelming love, His unconditional forgiveness, and His eternal salvation. Rescued to redeem!
